Frequently asked questions

Yes. Joining is completely free, for members and for artists.

Tap "Join" and fill in your name, email, phone and WhatsApp number, "I am…" (student, parent, artist…), profession, gender, country / state / city and a photo of you. We email you a 6-digit code to confirm your email address.

Each time you sign in we email you a 6-digit code that works for 15 minutes — no password to forget. If the code doesn't arrive, check your spam / junk folder. If you see a "Continue with Google" button, you can use that too.

To keep the community safe, an admin checks every new member. We send you a welcome email as soon as you are approved. Until then you can browse events, artists and services; posting, chat, event registration and joining groups open after approval.

Everything can be changed under My profile → Settings.

Yes. Contact us and an admin will delete your account together with everything you posted.

When you sign up (or later in Settings), tick "Artist / performer" under "I am…", choose your art forms and write a few words about yourself. Your listing appears in Talents once your account is approved — no separate application.

Your photo, art forms, city, an introduction, up to 3 photos of your art or products, YouTube / Instagram / Facebook / website links, and the contact details you chose to show.

Only the contact details you tick (WhatsApp, phone, email) appear on your artist listing, and you can change them any time under My profile → Artist profile. Otherwise your numbers are seen only by you and the site admins.

Through the buttons on your listing — WhatsApp (opens with a hello message), a phone call or email. You agree the details directly with them.

Yes. We organise events for Tamil artists and artisans — keep an eye on Events and our emails.

You are in your city's group automatically, from the city in your Settings. You can also join the state and country groups above your city.

Tick the box when you sign up, or tap "Ask to join the WhatsApp group" on your group page. Once an admin approves, the link appears on your group pages. To keep the groups safe, links are shown only to that group's members.

The admins haven't added a WhatsApp link for that group yet — it is coming.

Open the event and tap Register. Your registrations are under My profile → My events, and you can cancel from the event page.

After you register, a "Join link" button appears on that event's page.

Yes, in Poetry & stories. An admin checks each piece before it goes live.

Yes, through iLearnTamil — classes online and in person for children and adults: spoken Tamil, reading and writing, and school syllabuses (Singapore PSLE, Samacheer Kalvi, US high school credits). There is a free 30-minute demo class too.

Sign-in codes, emails about your account approval — and, only if you ticked "Email me new events and services, new members in my groups, and news", emails about those. Every news email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also stop them in Settings.

Your name, photo and city are visible to other members. Your email, phone and WhatsApp numbers and gender are seen only by you and the site admins — except the contact details an artist chooses to show on their listing.
